So the outcome from the Developmental Clinic appointment on Wednesday are that the girls are on track for their adjusted age. The adjusted age is their age if they were to make it to full-term. Since October 20th was our due date their adjusted age is 4.2 months, as opposed to their actual age of 5.7 months.
Both Alexandra and Annellice responded well to sounds and tasks given to them. They were rolled on their tummies and offered toys, as well as given large and small objects to track. Only Annellice made an effort to actaully reach for an object which is a skill that a 5 month old would have. Alexandra was chit-chatty towards the end as is her unique skill these days.
Dr Brown weighed them too. Alexandra is coming in at 11lbs 6oz, and Annellice is now 13lbs 8oz. When they use adjusted age of 4.2 months they are actually on the scale percentage wise (approx 80% on height and then 10% and 50% on weight respectively). Using the percentage scale at the regular pedictrician leaves Annellice below 10% and Alexandra less that 1% if I remember correctly. We will see where they are next week when we go back in for the 6 month checkup and immunizations.
