Annellice has popped a tooth...one small one on the bottom with another close behind on the top. She had been budding just below the surface for a couple of weeks, but I just felt a real tooth today. It was old news to Gwynne...where have I been?
Alexandra has a couple of buds in the works and according to the scientific test of my finger, she may get her top tooth first. It feels further along, but I've been wrong every time thus far. "I feel one..."; and I don't...
Both girls are crawling all over the place and faster than I can keep track of. It is funny to watch their inter-personal dynamic with each other. Annellice will take off after something while Alexandra watches. If Alexandra decides it is worth following, she'll hot foot it after Annellice and usually beat her to the object of their affection. Both girls enjoy crawling over the dog beds we have stationed in the living room.
All the fancy toys in the house, and by all accounts we are way behind in supporting the economy of baby toys, and their two favorites are a Gatorade bottle with quarters in it and left over race numbers. I can't forget to mention how much they like the dogs' tennis balls and nylabone chew toys, as well as empty cereal boxes and juice bottles. The dog's water bowl, book bags, rug tassles, and other "household" items are often preferred over anything store bought.
Laughter...and lots of it. Annellice is ticklish and will gigglle or provide a belly laugh on command. She finds an array of happenings funny and will laugh at them, though the same thing will rarely ellict the response for very long. Alexandra is far less ticklish, though will giggle when tickled on her inner thighs. She does, however, have fits of hillarity where she will shreek and laugh for minutes on end. We don't know what fires her off, but it really fills the room with joy.
Together they are very well in tune with how each is feeling and play really well together. They entertain themselves, reach for each other when seperated, and share toys with few disputes. We've experienced only one bout of "twin ESP" and it was the other night. Alexandra was having a rough night with congestion and interrupted breathing during the night. Annellice, asymptomatic, would cry out whenever Alexandra was having a hard time even when they were at completely opposite corners of the house. Made for a long night, but an interesting anecdotal study in twin relations.
